Thom Brown 2011 Spring Menswear

The modern suit has a short and lets men play with lengths and colors. These Thom brown assembles are paired with tall fitted sheer and almost translucent socks. I love the non conventional patterns that are thrown in to the suits to give them a very youthful statement. These are great for younger men or the very whimsical.

Versace 2011 Spring Menswear

These menswear just make you want to throw them on and head to the nearest disco. I would be dancing the night away with myself if I owned any of these mens garments. They are silky, dark, reminiscent of western apparel and very similar to the times of the 30s to 40s.

Fashion Photos On London Streets

A tan James Dean influenced coat. Interesting minimal studded shiny oxfords.

Two seriously uptight English men walking.

Dedication to Elvis

Elvis had his style and he had his dance and song no doubt.
I give tribute to the king and all of his talents he made legendary.

Moschino menswear spring 2011

Moschino came up with a punk and classic greaser influenced badass boy look this year. I absolutely love it and I hope I see American boys actually wearing it. I probably won't. It is completely cool but a bit chic. The sharp hair and perfectly clean faces really go with the rockstar clothes.

A Woman's Take on Fashion Faux Pas for Men

Guys, we all know you love to dress yourselves and we admire your creativity and courage, but sometimes it just doesn't look good. Kera Sebbert describes ten mistakes some men make on a daily basis. Check them out on her blog.

In addition, I just found this video, and It's really helpful and funny. It is about why men shouldn't wear white t-shirts under neath fitted shirts, or under neath anything at all!

Woody's Quality Grooming - Love Grenade

Woody's Love Grenade body and laundry spray smells so good. It is almost like sweet root beer. Different people have given different descriptions of what they thought, and all were positive. The after fragrance that lingers on your skin is even better than when it comes straight out of the can, in my opinion. I even use it as a room spray from time to time. The easy to hold spray can is great for travel too, and can easily fit in any bag. It would be nice little luxury to have on hand while out hiking or camping. This unique formula is enhanced with pheroxene, giving it an added benefit of attracting the opposite sex.

Need a Perfect Tie?

The Tie Bar has your solution.

The reason The Tie Bar is cool is because you can "try on" ties with different patterns/colors of shirts, and you can even add a suit into the mix, viewing it all right there, mixing and matching, for you to see. It is quick and easy, and also very fun. They offer bow ties, long ties, regular length ties, and ascots. They even have boys ties, pocket squares, cuff links and dress shirts.

Like the big-name neckwear designers, The Tie Bar releases six new collections each year under Lead Designer Greg Shugar. However, unlike the big-name neckwear designers The Tie Bar offers their 100 percent woven silk ties for just $15 each, a striking value for consumers watching their spending in this economy.

“With the new collection we really pushed the envelope to put out cutting edge designs,” says Shugar. “Quality and design comes first, it’s just an added bonus that the ties are such a value.”
They even offer a "Tie of the Month" club for yourself or gift giving, starting at $199.

Tom Ford Spring 2010

Tom Ford has exceptional taste in menswear and you know it. I know it. These recent designs are beautiful and proper for any man. I especially love the royal colors contrasting against the lavish prints.

Rock- Polish

A little rock and a little posh. This was inspired by a "style" at www.oki-ni.com. Of course with some of my influence too.

Emilio Tini - Sea of Red

Emilio Tini captures a sea of red for his most recent work on behalf of FHM Collections. It is all glittery and fantastic with chic men. There are many designer's in this campaign but I choose to leave it as art rather than mentioning who they are. The statement trend is color blocking.

Casual Chic Man

This guy is abstract, elegant, beautiful and deliberately fashionable. Modern is in and dark grays with whites. The Prada smart phone is an excellent additive to your accessory collection. It probably is form over function but in the fashion world we like form mostly over function.

Gareth Pugh 2009 Menswear

Avant-garde and extremely wearable Gareth Pugh makes sexy industrial goth combinations on his 2009 runway. These are more in trend during the end of the year but I just post what most inspires me. I will at times post what is currently in trend. I read tucking the jeans in boots is in trend right now for men. If you can do it , do it. If you look like a douche though I would say leave the jeans out!

Julius 2010 Menswear

Japanese designer Tatsuro Horikawa proves that he can still manage to maintain the mystery that seems to always draw one back to theJulius brand. Transporting us to an almost paradoxical world where skin is in for fall, in a collection dubbed ‘goth_ik;’, Julius takes us on a venture through goth subculture once more. This week I will be posting dark gothic designers and clothing trends. I love the chaotic beauty goth cloths have and the rebel it brings out in people.

Dr. Martens 50th Anniversary

"To celebrate their 50th Anniversary Dr. Martens are launching a commemorative limited edition footwear collection. The collection consists of two styles – the iconic 8-eye 1460 boot and the classic 3-eye 1461 shoe, both of which are presented in Black and Cherry Red colours – those synonymous with the Dr. Martens brand. The leather used is a rich premium Polished Pebble that will feature exclusively on this range. The trims of the footwear will make use of gold eyelets, lace-ends, heel-loops and a metallic gold footbed – all inspired by the long-established traditions of using gold when celebrating a 50th Anniversary. Each style will be restricted to limited runs of 1,460 pairs per colour for the boots and 1,461 pairs per colour for the shoes globally. To add extra cache to the collection, a limited edition box will accompany the product, as will a certificate of authenticity personally signed by the brand founders/owners, a bespoke swingtag and gold footprint tissue paper – ensuring this collection establishes itself as a genuine collector’s item for those brand enthusiasts and aficionados alike. Handcrafted in the original UK factory in Wollaston, Northamptonshire, the product will be positioned at $130 for the 1460 and $110 for 1461 respectively. The product will launch on Dr. Martens 50th Birthday – 1st of April 2010 – and will be globally distributed through Dr. Martens stores and selected retail partners."

Short History Lesson:

"Dr. Martens air-cushioned sole, designed by German inventor, Klaus Maertens, was the result of practical thinking; it was designed to meet the specific need of providing additional support and comfort for a broken foot."

"The Dr. Martens boot, manufactured by R Griggs and Co, British boot makers, with its trademark yellow stitch, grooved sole and heel-loop, was a boot for workers; comfortable, durable and lightweight in comparison to its competitors at the time."

"Initially worn by postmen, policemen and everyday workers, the boots were adopted, customised and used as a tribal emblem by successive subcultures, decade after decade. The 1460 became an immediately recognisable, UK product classic."

"The brand is still a family owned business; it is operating from the same location in Northamptonshire, England where the Griggs family first started their shoe manufacturing business in 1901. Dr. Martens also have a creative studio in London, offices in USA and Asia, and an extensive global distribution network."

We love Dr. Martens shoes and boots. Don't you? It is about time for a new pair. I want to see your favorite pair. Email them to me to be featured on this blog.
